So you have lots of great martial arts tools that work great against a committed attacker. However you end up with someone who knows how to keep you at a distance where your tools cannot be utilized- or worse they have a weapon (knife, stick, gun) and know how to make you move out of the way they want you to so they keep the advantage and can take you out.
This workshop will work on closing the distance and the different dynamics that come up in sparring and weapons defense. We will look at it from both sides- controlling the person by keeping them at a distance, and how to move in on someone who is good at keeping you on your heels.
