Be Free: Gentle Yoga & Sound Bath

Ground yourself through Vedic chanting, breathwork, and mindful movement, then settle into a deeply nourishing sound bath. This gentle yoga practice is centered on the yogic principle of 'letting go' (vairāgya, aparigraha) by releasing attachments to outcomes, expectations, and ideas that no longer serve us. As autumn arrives, we take inspiration from the trees, which shed their leaves and dead branches not as a loss, but as preparation for the stillness of winter and the growth of spring.

Be Change: Gentle Yoga & Sound Bath

Ground yourself through Vedic chanting, breathwork, and mindful movement, then settle into a deeply nourishing sound bath.

This Halloween-themed gentle yoga practice invites us to embrace change and let go of our fear of the unknown. In yoga philosophy, this tendency to cling to what is familiar is known as abhiniveśaḥ. The Bhagavad Gītā reminds us, "For one who is born, death is certain, and for one who dies, birth is certain." This timeless teaching speaks not only to life and death, but to every ending and every new beginning—in ourselves, our relationships, the changing seasons, and the natural rhythms of life.

Be Light: Gentle Yoga & Sound Bath

Ground yourself through Vedic chanting, breathwork, and mindful movement, then settle into a deeply nourishing sound bath.

We will conclude our fall Gentle Yoga & Sound Bath series with Asato Ma, a timeless Vedic chant that invokes the prayer, "Lead us from the unreal to the real, from darkness to light, and from death to immortality." As we enter the darker months of winter, our practice will emphasize cultivating an inner light that is not dependent on external circumstances, carrying that sense of clarity, warmth, and presence into the holiday season and beyond.
